Fate [1]
Se voce n?o ficou
La for a o dia passou
Se voce n?o ficou
Tua vida e so para aqui
Se voce n?o ficou
La for a o dia passou
Se voce n?o ficou
Tua vida e so para aqui
Te cala, Te cala, Te cala…
Viverei contigo, amor [2]
Viverei contigo, amor
(Repeat)
Contigo…
Fado
If you didn't stay
Outside, the day has ended
If you didn't stay
You are meant to always be here [3]
If you didn't stay
Outside, the day has ended
If you didn't stay
You are meant to always be here
Be silent, be silent, be silent
I shall live by your side, my love
I shall live by your side, my love
(Repeat)
By your side…
Notes by Pulseczar:
? I'm very convinced that this song's lyrics are in Portuguese, not "Kanno-ese", as I was able to confirm visiting some Japanese websites. The pronunciation is closer to Portuguese spoken in Portugal and Africa, rather than Portuguese spoken in Brazil; in addition, Maaya sings with a funny (but nonetheless incredibly cute!) accent. So, as you can imagine, these lyrics were particulary hard to transcribe.
[1] "Fado" means fate, something that's absolutely bound to happen.
[2] This was an INCREDIBLY difficult verse to transliterate. The lyrics may seem a little off, but from the many lines I came up with this is the one that makes more sense.
[3] A more accurate translation for this verse would be "Your life is meant to always be here", but I realize this doesn't make any sense in English.
